Volunteer
Our Volunteers have military and non-military backgrounds. We need both women and men to help assist our veterans.
Because of increases in individual funding and grants, we are able to assist more veterans and their families now than at any time in the past. As a result, we need additional caseworkers who are willing to volunteer one day per week for a minimum of four hours. Friends of Veterans will train new volunteer caseworkers. Since we deal with confidential and personal veteran information, FOV performs a background check on each candidate prior to beginning the volunteer work.
We also need volunteers for office work that includes answering phone calls, logging calls and following up on a veteran’s status with callbacks.
Donations
Friends of Veterans is a 501(c)(3) organization and your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Your donation goes directly to pay for client assistance and does not pay for any of FOV’s overhead.
