The Information We Collect
Information collected is specifically and knowingly provided by site applicants and may include name, email address, address, telephone number, interests and other relevant information required to process a financial request.
Friends of Veterans will not sell, share or exchange personal contact information collected from this Web site with other organizations unless specifically requested by the applicant in writing.
Aggregate Information
Demographic and profile data (i.e., age, gender etc) is also collected utilizing applicant data. Friends of Veterans uses such data to analyze trends and to analyze types of services most important to applicants.
Cookies
Friends of Veterans does not use cookies in the website.
Security of Your Information
Friends of Veterans will transmit client application information to other agencies only after Friends of Veterans has received a signed Release of Information (ROI) form from the client and only when Friends of Veterans believes another agency may be able to assist in the veteran’s request.
All personal profile information provided to Friends of Veterans is maintained within a password protected database. A paper file of the applicant’s request is also stored in a secure location. The Friends of Veterans’ database is only accessible to qualified volunteers and qualified IT contractors utilized to maintain IT services. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet is one hundred percent secure. Friends of Veterans strives to protect applicant information, however, Friends of Veterans cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.

The Friends of Veterans website has links to other Websites outside of its own network. These links are provided as information to applicants who may want to apply to other agencies for services.
Transmission of Health-Related Data
Friends of Veterans understands the sensitivity of collecting and using health-related data. Personally identifiable health-related data collected by Friends of Veterans will only be transferred to other veteran agencies upon the written request of the applicant.
