• Over 30 years in the telecommunications industry.

• Serves as FOV President, volunteers as FOV caseworker and is co-chair of the annual FOV golf fundraiser. Serves on other non-profit boards.

Stephen Kelley, Vice President

• BS, Boston College

• Fifty years in financial management and executive positions in manufacturing and distribution companies

• Volunteer with Friends of Veterans as both caseworker and assistant treasurer

Eileen von Gal, Treasurer

• BA, Cabrini College; MA, Villanova University

• CCM (Certified Cash Manager), Treasury Management Association

• 32 years in finance and life insurance (Treasurer, National Life Group)

• Volunteers at FOV managing grant operations and treasurer responsibilities (since 2015) in addition to her membership on the board.

Bob Hayden, Secretary

• USAF, 1970 – 1991

• BS, University of Vermont; MS, University of Colorado

• 18 years in defense electronics (Director of Engineering, Raytheon)

• Volunteers as FOV caseworker (since 2009) and is co-chair of the annual FOV golf fundraiser in addition to his membership on the board.

• Serves on the board of several organizations in Florida and Vermont.

John Ferney, Member-at-large

• BS, MBA Boston College

• 50 years’ experience in Operations and Project Management in the aerospace and defense industry

• Volunteer with Friends of Veterans as case worker and board member

Andrew Daubenspeck, Member-at-Large

• Ph.D. Engineering Science, Thayer School, Dartmouth; B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Swarthmore College

• 1974-2016 taught cardiovascular and respiratory physiology to medical students at the Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth; taught biomedical engineering courses to engineering students at Thayer School, Dartmouth.

• Volunteers at FOV as caseworker in addition to board responsibilities. Also  participates in research projects at the White River Junction VA.

Tom Gibbons, Member-at-Large

• BSBA Finance, The Ohio State University; MBA, Xavier University

• 40 years in banking and finance (JP Morgan, U.S. Bank and Griffon Corporation – NYSE:GFF)

• Volunteers at Friends of Veterans, the Quechee Club and Fox Hollow HOA Board

Mark Beattie, Member-at-Large

• Education: BS, Boston State College

• Career: 40 years in executive management roles across Technology, Finance, and Real Estate.

• Volunteer Work:

      – Friends of Veterans, Case worker and Board Member

      – American Cancer Society – Road to Recovery Driver

Elaine Dandurand Beattie, Member-at-Large

• 40 years in nonprofit leadership with deep expertise in municipal finance,  public policy and technology.

• Senior executive experience overseeing technology program, marketing, and research initiatives.

• FOV Volunteer since 2024. Longtime community volunteer supporting local nonprofit and civic organizations.

Peter Davis, Emeritus Member

• BA, Northwestern University; MBA, University of Chicago

• 35 years in senior financial positions in consumer goods and biopharmaceuticals.

• Volunteers at FOV as a caseworker (since 2012) in addition to his membership on the board.

• Long-time member of the grant review committee.

• Trainer of and mentor to many current caseworkers.
